3D Escape Room
For my games development diploma I built the UI and accessibility systems for a deep-sea escape room in Unreal Engine 5 — the main menu, pause menu and settings, all in UMG with proper Blueprint logic and clean naming. The part I'm most proud of is the colour-vision-deficiency option: it genuinely works, instead of being a setting that looks like it does something and doesn't.
What went wrong
Halfway through, a drive failure wiped the project and corrupted the leftover widget files. I worked out exactly what had happened, rebuilt it from my own screenshots and documented structure, and set up dated backups on a separate drive so it couldn't happen again.
